The Next Move.

The Next Move.

Nearly 5 years ago I stepped on the scales at nearly 22 stone.

Each of us, at this minute, are a result of the choices we have made. In one of the best personal development books authored by Jack Canfield entitled “The Success Principles” states that we need to take 100% responsibility for our own lives. I believe that God has a plan for this world but He has also given to us the ability to make choices for our lives.

Many live their life with a victim like mindset. It is always someone else’s fault. They will blame their family, where they were born, lack of money, the economy, poor education but rarely will they point the finger at themselves as the one who is holding them back.

The equation that Jack Canfield shared was E+R=O.

Events + Response = Outcomes

Events do happen and we cannot control them but we can control our response to them. It is our Response that creates the Outcome. The moral of the story is that if you don’t like where you are at this moment you need to change the response.

Five years ago my friend highlighted that she was overweight and asked, “Would I like to attend a slimming class?” I found myself at one of those pivotal points in my life. I had to make a choice, a decision which could change my life and my thinking. What was I to do?

One year later I stepped of the scales 5 stone lighter! That was a change for the better and it opened so many new things which changed my life. There is soo much to tell about the things I did and the people I have met because of that one decision. I cannot tell it all now. I will leave it for another time.

What is your next move?
